KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate to join its State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in the Atlanta area. You will support multi-state companies with state and local income tax compliance and assist in addressing franchise tax issues.

The role requires demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing state income tax returns, strong writing and tax research skills, and the ability to foster client relationships in a high-energy team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in state income tax returns and multi-state tax issues.
• State income tax return review experience required.
• Strong writing, compliance, and tax research skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team.

Responsibilities

• Support multi-state companies with state and local income tax compliance.
• Help clients with tax issues related to state and local income and franchise taxes.
• Review state income and franchise tax estimated payments, extensions and tax returns.
• Assist in handling notices from state tax authorities.
