Team Overview:

Apogem Capital is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their Tax Team, focusing on tax planning and FATCA compliance for its Private Equity and Private Credit Funds businesses. Tax Analyst will initially support FATCA process and will be involved in handling US Federal, States, and Foreign tax matters. Our Tax Team works closely with the Accounting, Legal and Investment Team and works with underlying portfolio companies and investors on a regular basis. The tax team is supported by outside FATCA advisors, law firms and Big 4 accounting firms.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in the process of reviewing deliverables prepared by the outside tax and FATCA preparer including supporting workpapers
  • Check for correctness, including validation of client and completeness of FATCA/ CRS documents received
  • Compile tax data and collaborate with the outside tax and FATCA preparer to achieve the common goal of timely and accurately filing all deliverables; responding timely and effectively to any questions that arise
  • Analyze legal entity structure charts and financial statements to determine necessary tax adjustments
  • Assist with responding to investor requests

What You'll Bring:

  • Must have 2 years tax and/or FATCA experience from a Big 4 CPA firm and/or relevant industry experience
  • Must have a familiarity with tax and/or FATCA issues within the asset management industry
  • Must be self-motivated and can perform under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with internal and external counterparties
  • Strong Excel skills
  • CPA preferred, but not a must
  • Big 4 experience a plus

Pay Transparency

Salary range:$80,000 - $90,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
