Job summary

Your Talent Team client, a financial and tax advisory firm, seeks a Director of Tax Advisory Services in Philadelphia to lead growth and strategic direction of TAS practice. Reporting to the Advisory Group CEO, you will drive complex engagements, mentor tax professionals, and shape go-to-market initiatives.

This senior role requires 10+ years of progressive tax experience, deep expertise in partnerships, trusts and estates, and a commercial mindset.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive tax experience.
Expertise in partnerships, trusts, estates, and closely held business structures.
Ability to lead teams, mentor talent, and manage complex client engagements.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills with executives and high-net-worth clients.
Commercial mindset and interest in growing a tax advisory practice; an established book of business is not required.
Balance hands-on technical work, client relationships, and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead complex tax engagements and develop proactive tax strategies.
Mentor and develop tax professionals, establish accountability, and build future leaders.
Expand existing relationships and identify new opportunities; support business development and go-to-market initiatives.
Oversee engagement pricing, realization, utilization, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, resource allocation, risk management, and practice development as a member of the Advisory Leadership Team.
