H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to provide expert tax guidance in-person at a local Block Advisors office. You will prepare complete returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situations, and offer personalized recommendations to optimize tax outcomes.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment
