Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients, and offer personalized recommendations. You’ll identify tax savings opportunities and promote Block Advisors products and services while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

The role is in-person at a local Block Advisors office, with industry-leading training, competitive hourly pay, and an incentive plan as you build your tax expertise and serve

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns
• Strong communication, client-facing advisory experience
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive, client-focused office
