Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor who will prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations, including individual and business returns, and conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances, life changes and tax implications.

You will build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service, identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products, provide IRS support and audit

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including audit support.
• Strong client-facing, consultative or advisory experience with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Deliver empathetic, consultative service and support Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance and audit guidance as needed.
