Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate tax returns and guide clients through complex tax situations in person at a local Block Advisors office.

You will interview clients, propose personalized tax-saving strategies, and build lasting relationships while leveraging Block’s training and technology. A strong focus is on compliant tax filings and client-first service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns, including planning and audit support.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Client-facing advisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, and provide clear recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
