Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business situations. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships in a local Block Advisors office.

You will conduct client interviews, explain tax concepts clearly, and provide year-round guidance. This in-person role emphasizes service, training, and a supportive, high-performing office culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide year-round client service and identify tax-saving opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office.
