You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and build lasting relationships supported by training and technology. You will deliver empathetic, consultative service, identify tax savings opportunities, provide IRS support when needed, and collaborate with a team in a local Block Advisors office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns.
• Client-facing, consultative or advisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products and services
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
