Job summary

Either Oar Whiskey Wine & Cheese Bar in Hector, NY is seeking a Tasting Room Associate to greet guests, share wine knowledge, and deliver exceptional service. You will conduct tastings, handle sales, and maintain a welcoming environment in our tasting room and at events.

The role requires a friendly, customer-focused attitude with basic math and computer skills, including POS systems. Availability for diverse shift times, including weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a friendly people person with a willingness to work hard.
• Customer service experience required.
• A desire to work with the public.
• Wine knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Basic mathematical and computer literacy, including POS system/Square.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality customer service experience for guests in the tasting room.
• Perform tastings for winery guests.
• Maintain appropriate display of inventory and wine for retail and tasting purposes.
• Maintain the appearance of the tasting room through general upkeep and housekeeping.
• Deliver a high-quality customer service experience at off-premises tastings and events.
• Use of the POS/Square system to ensure accurate sales of products.
• Perform all duties with the highest standard of quality and cleanliness; responsible for the Financial Results of the tasting room.

Essential Job Functions:
