Job summary

Peraton is seeking a TASO Team Lead to guide threat hunting, malware analysis, and digital forensics within federal cyber programs. You will lead a team, set technical direction, and ensure high-quality analytic output across mission areas in both on-prem and cloud environments.

You will coordinate security operations, manage escalations from CIRT, and provide subject matter expertise to leadership. US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience; 7 years with Masters.
• Additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the bachelor's requirement.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the TASO team with technical direction and high-quality analytic output.
• Oversee advanced network threat hunting across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage escalated security events from CIRT and provide expert guidance in reverse engineering and forensic analyses.
• Direct forensic analysis on Department-owned devices and translate findings into security improvements.
• Provide cyber threat analysis and digital forensics expertise to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel for Cyber Security Assessments and briefings.
• Fulfill Peraton management duties including performance reviews, timesheet approvals, and staffing priorities.
