Job summary

Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, seeks a Task Worker (Standardized Patient) to support the College of Nursing & Health Sciences by portraying a real patient for student and faculty assessment.

This temporary/casual position requires no prior experience; you will be examined by students and faculty and must maintain a professional on-campus presence with a flexible schedule.

Pay is $25.00 per hour for up to 8 hours weekly.

Job Summary

The Task Worker (SP) will portray the characteristics of a realpatient, simulating the signs and symptoms. The SP will bephysically examined by students and faculty as part of the Collegeof Nursing & Health Services learning experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work in a professional manner when interacting with staff andstudents.
• Be comfortable having repeated physical examination maneuversperformed.
• Simulate all aspects of scenarios, including history of currentproblem, affect/behavior and physical findings in a standardized,accurate, and reliable manner.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.

Minimum Requirements
