The Task Force Executive Chef role requires frequent travel across the Driftwood Hospitality Management asset portfolio. This is an assignment-based role; consistent work is not guaranteed.

Under the direction of the General Manager and Corporate F&B Team, the Executive Chef leads the execution of the property’s culinary strategy. Responsibilities include managing the Food and Beverage Kitchen department, staffing, menu planning, ordering, vendor management, food production, staff training and development, inventory, catering, budgeting, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Chef:
  1. Manage all Food and Beverage Kitchen operating expenses, set margins, and monitor against projections. Incorporate best practices, including inventory management software and analytics tools.
  2. Regularly walk the dining room during meal service to interact with members and guests, ensuring quality and standards are met.
  3. Dedicate most of the day to management and supervisory duties.
  4. Create events, theme menus, decorations, banquets, and special events.
  5. Oversee ordering, inventory, receiving, invoice settling, and equipment maintenance.
  6. Use only the freshest ingredients to maintain high standards in menu preparation.
  7. Maintain food quality and consistency in delivery and standards.
  8. Measure department effectiveness through profit and service performance metrics.
  9. Create recipes and support materials like recipe cards, descriptions, and menu guides.
  10. Develop strong relationships with preferred suppliers and participate in recommended programs.
  11. Ensure sanitation standards are followed throughout the kitchen.
  12. Monitor storage conditions and food rotation to comply with health regulations.
  13. Handle hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
  14. Manage department staff, including chefs, cooks, and stewards.
  15. Provide effective onboarding and ongoing training for associates.
  16. Plan staffing and resources based on business volume forecasts.
  17. Implement and maintain high service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  18. Engage in ongoing communication with the Corporate F&B team and networking events.
  19. Follow safe work practices.
  20. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  21. Perform other duties as required.
