Job Responsibilities

• Lead a group of specialists responsible for taxability assurance, consistency, and the review of retail and buying deals and related duties and charges.
• Ensure expenses and charges are evaluated, collected, recorded, and dispatched accurately and timely.
• Develop, authorize, and maintain SOX and functional controls for the group.
• Collaborate on setting and improving processes to enhance group efficiency and productivity.
• Support the visitor experience by ensuring precise and straightforward tax collection and compliance.
• Provide insight and responsive assistance to colleagues for Target’s retail tasks and new business initiatives, including assessment of emerging regulations.
• Guard Target’s assessment positions while maintaining strong relationships with external specialists.
• Lead bookkeeping strategy and controls, acting as a key leader in the bookkeeping function.
• Communicate the group’s expense vision, objectives, and progress metrics to stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including bookkeeping, financial planning, innovation, marketing, acquisition, government affairs, and legal—to support business objectives.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and third‑party consultants to execute and monitor spending plans.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Business acumen and client‑centered approach to delivering specialized solutions and influencing fiscal reporting.
• Experience with Vertex, Avalara, or comparable expense‑automation platforms.
• Knowledge of RPA, Alteryx, DOMO, and other automation and data‑integration tools.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

Salary: $30-50 per hour
Location: Brooklyn Park, USA
Flexible or remote work options may be available, with occasional travel to headquarters or other Target locations as required.
