Job summary

The State of Indiana, through the Adjutant General's Office, seeks an electronics-focused technician to operate and maintain electronic and telecommunication equipment across Indiana facilities. This role supports military live-fire training ranges and requires day, night, and varying weather duties.

A high school diploma or equivalent with several years of repair experience is acceptable; certifications and safety compliance are important.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of, and ability to inspect, analyze and install electronic equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of standard theories, methods, procedures, materials, test equipment and tools of the electronics field.
• Working knowledge of repair manuals, schematics, and parts catalogs.
• Working knowledge of hazards peculiar to high voltage electronics equipment and applicable safety procedures.
• Ability to analyze, diagnose and correct malfunctions of a wide variety of electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and inspect electronic and telecommunication equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electronic equipment and perform necessary electrical repairs.
• Research and recommend new electronic equipment.
• Document repairs, calibration, and tests, and maintain records.
• Order equipment and parts and maintain an inventory.
