Job summary

Alpha Baking Company seeks a reliable production worker for Michigan operations. You will follow the production schedule, operate labeling and packaging tasks, and maintain a clean, safe workspace on shift.

Shifts run 7:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday with some Saturdays. A high school diploma or GED is required, and six months of food manufacturing experience is preferred. English reading/writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows the production schedule.
• Communicates with Box Erector about production needs.
• Enters basic computer information for job tracking.
• Applies labels to boxes when required.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Sets up tape machine in a timely manner.
• Completes skid tag information accurately.
• Identifies potential machine problems and reports them.
• Follows all plant and corporate safety and food safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand the production schedule.
• Communicate with Box Erector during shift.
• Enter basic data into company systems.
• Apply labels to boxes as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work area throughout shift.
• Set up and operate tape machine as needed.
• Complete skid tag information for shipments.
• Recognize potential machine problems and escalate.
• Adhere to safety and food safety policies.
