Job summary

Centerline Logistics is seeking a shipboard operations professional to manage safe transfer of petroleum products between barges, ships, and facilities. You will prepare load plans, monitor tanks, and operate pumps, valves and safety equipment.

Role requires navigating weather, regulatory requirements, and international coordination with crews and facilities. Candidates must hold USCG credentials and STCW endorsements, with readiness for varied schedules and locations.

Qualifications

• Must have USCG Merchant Mariners Document.
• STCW endorsements RFPNW, Basic Training and Vessel Security required.
• Valid driver’s license, TWIC Card and Passport.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• 24 hr HAZWOPER certification required.

Responsibilities

• Create load/discharge plans for trim, stability, and safe cargo operations.
• Monitor product level, top off tanks, strip cargo tanks and use drip samplers.
• Operate mooring/anchor winches, diesel engines, cargo pumps, valves, heaters, IG Systems, booms/cranes, hand tools, and gas meters.
• Use and care of tapes for proper gauging and hydrostatic testing of hoses and piping.
• Understand piping diagrams and valve alignment for cargo segregations and loading manuals.
• Accurately fill out Bills of Lading, Barge Logs, DOIs, BDNs and related paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance aboard barges and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure Coast Guard and state regulatory compliance; communicate with foreign crews and facility personnel.
• Respond quickly in emergencies and use safety equipment including SCBA when needed.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and navigate ladders; work in variable weather conditions and diverse regions.
