Job summary

Centerline Logistics seeks a cargo operations specialist to manage the safe transfer of petroleum products between barges and ships. You will plan loads, monitor tank levels, and operate pumps, valves, and gauges while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires USCG documentation, STCW endorsements, and the ability to work variable hours in a demanding marine environment. Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) benefits apply; travel to regional vessels may be required.

Qualifications

• USCG Merchant Mariners Document required.
• STCW endorsements RFPNW, Basic Training, Vessel Security required.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• TWIC card and passport required for international operations.
• Driver's license and basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Create load/discharge plans for trim, stability, and safe cargo operations.
• Monitor product level in tanks during topping off and venting.
• Operate cargo pumps, valves, heaters, gauges, and related equipment.
• Complete Bills of Lading, Barge Logs, DOIs, BDNs, and related paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep barges clean and compliant.
• Ensure compliance with Coast Guard and state regulations and communicate with crews.
