Job summary

Mission Critical Group is seeking an experienced Welder to read blueprints and fabricate large fuel tanks up to 60 feet long and 13 feet wide, holding 3,000 to 10,000 gallons of diesel. You will follow PPE requirements and safety guidelines to ensure high-quality welds in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2+ years welding experience, blueprint interpretation, and familiarity with welding equipment, with potential 10% differential pay during the trial period and a full-time shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding certification preferred.
• 2+ years welding experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment.
• Experience with 7024 welding rods and .045 MIG wire preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Familiarity with welding machinery and PPE requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning components for welding.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in multiple positions.
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Complete quality checklists at each stage of the process.
• Work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Report hazards and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Perform other duties to support welding and fabrication operations.
