Job summary

PALA Interstate, LLC is seeking skilled welders to lay out, fit and weld metal components such as pipelines, boilers, tanks and structural steel. You will read job specs, blueprints and perform precision welds across varied thicknesses using SMAW, GTAW and flux-core processes.

Safety, quality and productivity are essential. Position requires working from elevations, in confined spaces, with respirators, and operating equipment like air arc-gouging tools and Man-Lift when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and set an example in Safety, Quality, and Production.
• Weld to Section 9 of ASME Code in all positions.
• Operate air arc-gouging and burning torch with limited grinding.
• Operate power tools used in tank repair.
• Read blueprints and interpret job specifications.
• Prepare weld joints and verify fit up.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Wearing respirator and working in breathing air conditions.
• Willing to perform other tank duties as needed.
• Operate a Man-Lift.
