Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of welding, can pass our weld test, and are comfortable reading drawings and calculations. This is a hands-on shop role requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of stick or Flux Core welding.
• Must pass a company weld test.
• Thorough understanding of welding machines and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret assignments and drawings.
• Basic math skills related to welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plans details of work order procedures and gathers tools/materials.
• Repairs and fabricates items using cutting, burning and welding.
• Monitors welding and fitting to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
• Maintains, cleans, and organizes equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
