Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a tank fabrication supervisor to lead a team of technicians building barrel and tank assemblies from raw sheet metal to final tank structures. You will oversee machining, roll forming, and friction stir welding, ensuring high quality and on-time production for the Terran R program.

Collaborating with engineering, quality, and production control, you will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and grow the team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years in machining, roll forming, or FSW operations.
• 3+ years in rigging and crane operations; lift director capability.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, and production control.
• Self-starter with ownership of production areas under their span of control.

Responsibilities

• Execute production schedules across machining, roll forming, and FSW processes.
• Help establish process standards and hold technician team accountable to these processes.
• Mentor technician team by providing timely feedback and conducting regular 1:1s.
• Communicate daily/weekly progress to upper management including blockers with solutions.
• Lead hiring initiatives to grow the team to meet Terran R production rate.
• Foster a team culture of honesty, transparency, and accountability.
