Job summary

DN is seeking a Civil Engineering co-op to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of civil engineering and construction. You will work with a dedicated mentor on real projects, contributing to the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction from conception to completion.

Responsibilities include assisting design engineers, drafting preliminary tank designs, and reviewing geotechnical reports while preparing project-specific information packages for the Construction Department.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program with a structural focus (preferred).
• Experience using CAD software and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Engineers by performing preliminary tank designs and drafting details; review geotechnical reports and tailor project specifications.
• Create project-specific construction information packages to aid the Construction Department.
• Provide support on Research and Development projects in the Engineering Department.
• Opportunity to visit tank construction sites and assist with inspections.
