Job summary

DN Tanks LLC in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Construction Co-op Student to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. You will work under a dedicated mentor on real projects, learning the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction from conception to completion.

You will identify concrete suppliers, assist in bid prep, develop AutoCAD layouts, coordinate with subcontractors, and participate in pre-pour inspections. The role offers $24/hour, PTO, scholarships, and leadership training.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program.
• A concentration in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office is desired.
• Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing.
• Develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs with suppliers.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, and crane positions.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Managers.
