Job summary

DN is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op in Wakefield, MA to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. You will work under a mentor, contribute to real tank projects, and learn the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction from conception to completion.

Qualifications include being enrolled in a Civil Engineering undergrad program with a structural focus, plus experience with AutoCAD and MS Office. Travel to Wakefield sites and strong communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program with a structural focus preferred.
• Experience using CAD software (prefer AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong communication and time management skills; ability to multi-task and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Engineers by performing preliminary tank designs and drafting preliminary tank details.
• Review geotechnical project reports and tailor project specification language.
• Create project-specific construction information packages for DN Construction Department.
• Support R&D projects in the Engineering Department and visit tank construction sites for inspections.
