Join Our Team as a Tank Builder / Welder (Pennsylvania Local)

Phillips Tank & Structure is hiring welders to join our Pittsburgh Local Tank Crew. Our team builds and repairs tanks in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Frequent regional travel is required, with work in our Braddock shop when not traveling.

Who We're Looking For

Individuals who enjoy working with their hands, are eager to learn welding, and want to develop skills in welding storage tanks and fabricating custom parts. Training will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage based on experience, plus per diem for meals and lodging; work-related travel paid at normal hourly rates; no overtime.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days; Phillips Tank covers about 60% of medical premiums; employees pay 100% for dental and vision.
Work Schedule and Status
  • Typical shift: Daylight hours (10 hours/day, 5 days/week), with project-based scheduling.
  • Full-time employment, subject to project availability. Travel required approximately 75% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform arc and torch cutting, welding (various methods), and non-destructive testing.
  • Operate power tools, lifting equipment, and safety gear.
  • Read drawings, plan welding and fabrication processes, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with team members and perform other duties as assigned.
