About PTS:
Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is no ordinary tank construction company. We specialize in the complex and fast-paced environment of tank repair on a nationwide scale. No two tanks are alike, so when they need repair, they often pose unique or complicated technical issues. Our experienced engineering staff are well-versed inAPI 650,API 653,AWWA D100, AWWA D103,API 12D, and other tank specifications.
We build and repairwelded above-ground storage tanks (ASTs),bolted tanks, and related structures. We alsoinspect, install, and repair tank systems such asaluminum geodesic dome covers,aluminum internal floating roofs (IFRs),IFR mechanical shoe seals,liquid level gauges,fire protection systems,silo support structures, industrial storage tanks, andheating and insulation systems.
We are currently looking to hire welder's helpers to join our Pittsburgh Local Tank Crew. Our Pittsburgh Local Crew builds and repairs tanks in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states.
Frequent travel is required in the region. When not traveling, the crew works in our Braddock, PA shop.
We are looking for individuals who are good working with their hands, enjoy making things, and want to learn how to weld. We will teach you how to weld storage tanks and make custom fabricated parts and assemblies.

Comp and Benefits:
Compensation: Hourly wage based upon experience and skill set, plus per diem (to cover meals and lodging). Normal hourly wage paid for work-related travel (no overtime). Non-union. Occasional prevailing wage. Non-exempt. No PTO or paid holidays. Pay periods are weekly. Direct deposit is available.
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first of the month following a 30-day probationary period. Phillips Tank pays approximately 60% and employee pays 40% of medical benefit premiums. Employee pays 100% for vision and dental benefit premiums.
Shift: Project work schedules vary. However, a typical work shift is daylight (10 hours per day, 5 days per week).
Status: Full-time employee (subject to project availability and work schedules.)
