Position Overview

We are hiring welders for our Pittsburgh Local Tank Crew, which builds and repairs tanks in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. The role involves frequent regional travel, with work conducted in our Braddock shop when not traveling. We seek individuals who enjoy working with their hands, are eager to learn welding, and are committed to safety and teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage based on experience, plus per diem for meals and lodging
  • Pay during work-related travel (no overtime)
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision (coverage begins after 30 days)
  • Pay periods are weekly; direct deposit available
Work Schedule

Typical shifts are daylight hours, 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Work schedules may vary based on project needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging
  • Operate various power tools and welding equipment (7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, submerged arc)
  • Use lifting equipment such as come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, and hoists
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (vacuum, oil, dye penetrant)
  • Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and understand crane operations
  • Read and interpret detailed fabrication and erection drawings
  • Plan and execute welding, fitting, and tank construction tasks
  • Ensure safety through proper procedures and safety training
  • Collaborate professionally with team members
Qualifications

No prior welding experience is required; training will be provided. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to travel extensively.

  • Position is full-time, non-union, non-exempt
  • Travel required approximately 75% of the time
  • Subject to company policies regarding compensation and benefits
