Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to support nationwide tank construction projects. You will perform welding, cutting, and assembly of above-ground metal storage tanks, working with diverse crews across multiple sites.

The role requires strong welding skills, ability to read drawings, safety awareness, and willingness to travel or work nationwide. Benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license; pre-hire background and drug testing.
• Welding experience is a plus; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc cutting, torch cutting, and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders and other tools.
• Weld with 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW and submerged arc processes.
• Utilize tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders and lifting equipment.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Follow safety procedures, complete job safety analyses and trainings.
