Job summary

Primoris T&D is hiring Groundmen/Entry-Level Lineworkers in the Tampa Bay area. This role offers hands-on training and exposes you to the electrical utility industry while supporting overhead and underground system work.

You will assist with material preparation, tool handling, and site safety, with opportunities to learn from experienced lineworkers. Local travel, extended hours, and a safety-focused team culture are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CDL Class A or B is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineworkers with preparing and organizing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform general labor duties, including digging, moving materials, and setting up job sites.
• Load and unload tools and equipment from company vehicles.
• Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of overhead and underground systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Travel to project locations and work extended hours as needed.
