Job summary

Primoris T&D in the Tampa Bay area is hiring Groundmen and Entry-Level Lineworkers. This role provides hands-on training and supports the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical systems.

You will assist with tools, materials, and site setup, travel to projects, and work extended hours as needed. A high school diploma or GED and a valid license are preferred, with CDL preferred but not required. Safety and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• CDL (Class A or B) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and learn utility-industry procedures.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineworkers with preparing and organizing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform general labor duties, including digging, moving materials, setting up job sites, and clearing brush.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from company vehicles.
• Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical systems.
• Follow all grounding, job-site safety, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Assist with traffic control and flagging duties when needed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and crew members.
• Travel to project locations and work extended hours as required.
