Job summary

OMI MedTech is expanding our Tampa Bay service team and is looking for an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) / Field Service Technician to service hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices in the Tampa Bay area.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across a wide range of biomedical equipment, with imaging and C-arm experience considered a major plus.

Qualifications

2+ years in biomedical equipment service or field service.
Experience with hospital preventive maintenance preferred.
Strong documentation and customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform annual and scheduled PM inspections.
Conduct electrical safety inspections and document results.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic medical equipment.
Respond to customer service calls in the Tampa Bay area.
Complete field service reports and equipment documentation.
Identify equipment needing repair or replacement.
Communicate findings clearly with customers.
Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and service vehicle.
Travel throughout the Tampa Bay service area.
Participate in manufacturer training.
