Job summary

International Paper in Asheboro, NC is hiring a Tally Operator for a full-time hourly role. The position runs 7:00a–3:30p, Monday–Friday, and pays $23.69 per hour. Primary duties include counting, validating bale units, tagging loads, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will also verify specifications, communicate clearly, and assist with quality checklists and maintenance reporting as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use a calculator, perform basic math and read a tape measure.
• Familiarity with load tag system and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Check counts and bale unit accuracy.

The Job You Will Perform

• Check counts and bale unit accuracy
• Check customer specifications and appearance of all loads

The Skills You Will Bring

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrate full understanding of the Stacker Operator and Tally 2 position
• Must be able to proficiently use a calculator, do basic math and read a tape measure
• Demonstrate ability to read a production schedule including special instructions
• Demonstrate ability to manually restack units if necessary in a safely and timely manner
• Use the load tag system as it is designed
• Understand causes of nonconformance such as warp, de-lamination, bad scores and verification of all specifications and special instructions
