Job summary

International Paper in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm). You will unload and inspect roll stock, label items with IP tags, and ensure accurate inventory and shipping paperwork.

Safety protocols and PPE are required, with potential overtime based on production needs. The role requires forklift or clamp truck experience, ability to read orders, and a stable work history.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Reading Orders.
• Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience.
• Forklift / Clamp Truck experience.
• Stable and verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Unload roll stock.
• Inspect roll stock for damage.
• Label each roll with International Paper tag.
• Communicate damage to shift supervisor and set apart damaged stock.
• Ensure bill of lading is signed.
• Place roll stock into raw stock inventory.
• Maintain FIFO rotation of paper.
• Organize rolls by grade and width.
• Organize rolls with smaller butts first.
• Check production schedule for current/next orders.
• Bring paper to machine at correct station and position.
• Service butt roll discharge area.
• Report any mechanical problems to shift supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures for safe operation of equipment.
• Keep warehouse neat and orderly.
• Inspect equipment before use and ensure dock lock and tandems.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Job You Will Perform

• Unloading of roll stock


• Inspecting roll stock for damage


• Labeling each roll with International Paper tag


• Operator is to set apart damaged roll stock & communicate damage to shift supervisor


• Operator to ensure bill of lading is signed


• Operator to place roll stock into raw stock inventory


• Operator to keep paper rotated on a FIFO basis


• Operator to organize rolls by grade & width


• Operator to organize rolls with smaller butts first


• Operator to check schedule for current & next orders to run on machine


• Operator to bring paper to machine at correct station & put in correct position


• Operator to service butt roll discharge area


• Operator must report any mechanical problems to shift supervisor


• Operator must follow safety procedures for safe operation of work equipment


• Operator must keep warehouse neat & orderly


• Operator must inspect equipment before using including locking in dock lock & ensuring tandems are in correct position


• Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment


• Operator must be able to safely lift / move up to 50lbs during regular work shift


• Other duties as assigned
