Job summary

International Paper in Waxahachie, TX is hiring an Entry Manufacturing Laborer for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). You will perform counts, quality checks, measure finished sheets, tag loading, and restack non-conforming units in a safety‑driven, fast‑paced plant.

Pay is $20.40/hr plus sign‑on and retention bonuses, with full‑time, hourly employment. Qualities sought include ability to read, write and speak English, read a tape measure, count and stack products, and prior warehouse or manufacturing

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and speaks English proficiently.
• Able to read a measuring tape and ruler.
• Capable of counting and stacking finished product.
• Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Stable and verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Check count accuracy and conformity to specification.
• Quality checks and communication of issues to operators.
• Measure finished sheet for accuracy.
• Insert load tags into finished units and document non-conforming items.
• Operate count station and load tag printer.
• Restack non-conforming units and maintain clean work areas.

Pay Rate

$20.40/hr. +

Sign-on Bonus

• $500 after 30 days
• $500 after 6 months

Retention Bonus

$500 after 1 year

Additional lump sum after 2 years

• Weekend work may be required as needed

The Job You Will Perform

• Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification
• Double check for quality issues, communicating them to control room operator or wet end operator
• Measure finished sheet for accuracy
• Insert proper load tags into finished "measured" units
• Check for unit appearance
• Operate count station and load tag printer
• Restack non-conforming units
• Hand-flip bundles when warped, or otherwise required
• Properly document non-conforming materials onto disposition sheet
• Determine whether order is complete or partial
• Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment
• Operator must be proficient in using/reading tape measure and safe use of utility knife
• Operator must keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets
• Operator must be able to safely lift/move up to 50lbs during regular work shift
• Operator must follow lock-out / tag-out procedures
• Prepare and set in place the "Top" dunnage for unit strapping
• Counting and stacking finished product
• Reading orders
