Job summary

BESTAFF in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Tally Clerk to count, verify, and record corrugated products throughout production and shipping.

You will work closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to ensure counts, paperwork, and customer requirements are accurate and documented on tally sheets or electronic systems. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing/warehouse/quality inspection experience a plus.
• Able to read job tickets and production paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and verify finished products, bundles, and pallets during production and shipping.
• Record counts, lot numbers, and job information on tally sheets or electronic systems.
• Verify product specifications, including size, style, and customer requirements.
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials.
• Communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and shipping personnel regarding count or quality issues.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with other production or warehouse duties as needed.

The Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording corrugated products throughout the production and shipping process. This role ensures product quantities, quality, and documentation align with customer orders and company standards. The Tally Clerk works closely with production, quality, and shipping teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
