Job summary

Jacob's Pillow, Becket, MA, is seeking a People & Culture Manager, Talent & Onboarding (Fixed-Term) to oversee recruiting, onboarding and training for the festival season and year-round operations.

The role partners with multiple departments to ensure smooth onboarding, effective training, and compliant HR practices; responsible for Paycom workflows and a calendar of required trainings, with a term through March 31, 2027 and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years as an HR generalist with recruiting and onboarding ownership.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of I-9 verification, earned sick time, Paid Family and Medical Leave notices, and pay-range disclosure in job postings.
• Experience running a training calendar and tracking completion in a learning management system.
• Fluency with an HRIS onboarding and learning module; capable of managing many documents and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting: manage year-round, seasonal and temporary openings; equip hiring managers with rubrics and questions; screen finalists; schedule interviews; keep ATS current.
• Offers and Letters of Agreement: verify rate, issue letters via DocuSign; coordinate with hiring manager; ensure signature before start date.
• Onboarding: lead pre-start paperwork, I-9 verification, PFML notice, handbook acknowledgments, trainings; coordinate Paycom onboarding.
• Onboarding waves: execute May arrival waves with IT, Producing and Housing; organize communications and check-ins; debrief after each wave.
• Training and learning: own the training calendar; schedule required trainings and role-based sessions; track completion in Paycom Learning; book facilitators.
• Records and compliance: keep personnel files in Paycom; issue verification letters; route unemployment notices; ensure employment reporting.
• First-line support: answer policy questions; route payroll/benefits questions to the People Operations Manager; escalate as needed.
• Systems and handoff: work in Paycom, DocuSign and Google Workspace; document workflows for handoff and system rebuilds.
• Equity in hiring: apply structured hiring practices and flag uneven results.
• Other Duties: perform additional tasks to support the department's mission.
