The Talent Management (TM) Consultant plays a critical role in executing and refining enterprise talent strategies and initiatives. This role is responsible for contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of key talent programs, including but not limited to Delta Dental's Talent Review and Succession Planning and Performance Management and Rewards programs. Working closely with Organizational Effectiveness Consultants (OECs) and Centers of Expertise (COEs), the consultant applies functional knowledge, change management, and project coordination skills to ensure high-quality implementation of talent programs that support business needs.

This role is responsible for contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of key talent programs, including but not limited to Delta Dental's Talent Review and Succession Planning and Performance Management and Rewards programs. Working closely with Organizational Effectiveness Consultants (OECs) and Centers of Expertise (COEs), the consultant applies functional knowledge, change management, and project coordination skills to ensure high-quality implementation of talent programs that support business needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support execution of enterprise talent programs, such as Talent Review and Succession Planning and Performance Management and Rewards, ensuring timelines, tools, and deliverables are met across business units.
- Consult with Organizational Effectiveness Consultants (OECs), business leaders, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to understand program needs and adapt communications, tools, and approaches to support local implementation.
- Leverage data and insights to support program recommendations and storytelling efforts. Analyze raw talent data and prepare visualizations to support decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of scalable tools, templates, and resources that enhance user experience and program adoption. Maintain relevancy of existing tools and resources.
- Facilitate and execute change management and communications efforts, including drafting communications, developing FAQs and training materials, and supporting program readiness activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Talent Management (TM) and cross-functional partners (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organizational Effectiveness) to ensure alignment across the talent ecosystem.
- Lead or co-lead workstreams within larger projects and support project planning activities, such as tracking milestones, identifying risks, and documenting lessons learned.
- Apply best practices and a continuous improvement mindset to refine program elements based on stakeholder feedback and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, organization development, human resources management, related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience with talent management, performance management, employee engagement, culture alignment, organizational effectiveness.
- Prior success working in the context of a matrixed organizations. Demonstrated history of successful partnerships and leadership within a matrixed HR delivery system. Experience working in a shared services/COE environment.
- Exposure to enterprise-wide talent processes such as succession planning, performance management, or employee engagement.
- Experience coordinating large-scale initiatives or projects across multiple stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to influence without authority.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort working with talent-related data and translating it into insights and data driven stories.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with change management concepts and experience supporting change initiatives.
- Demonstrated curiosity, growth mindset, and desire to deepen HR and talent management expertise.
- Familiarity with various HRIS, talent management platforms, and other relevant technologies.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 20. $71,400 - $149,500
