Bechtel in Houston, TX seeks a Solutions Chief of Staff to drive the Talent Engine for the Manufacturing & Technology Global Business Unit. You will own the end-to-end talent lifecycle—recruiting, developing, rotating, and placing talent—partnering with Solutions leadership to build high-performing teams.

The role emphasizes market engagement with universities and industry partners to sustain diverse, skilled pipelines aligned to future needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience or 17–19 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, with relevant progressive experience.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Bechtel experience or equivalent depth of knowledge of organizational operations, project execution models, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of the Solutions Talent Engine, including recruiting, development, rotation, placement and continuous improvement.
• Identify capability gaps and translate business needs into defined Solution Specialist profiles and criteria.
• Develop procedures, standard work, rotation plans, and capability frameworks for scalable talent development.
• Lead market engagement with universities, alumni networks, MBA programs, and professional associations to build diverse pipelines.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on assessment, offers, onboarding, and pipeline development while maintaining talent quality.
• Design and manage rotational assignments with clear learning objectives, sponsorship, checkpoints, and placement planning.
• Collaborate with project and functional leaders to secure rotation opportunities and successful deployments.
