Job summary

AEG Worldwide seeks a Talent Buyer to build relationships with agents, identify profitable talent, and craft show offers. The role involves budgeting, venue mapping, and coordinating artist settlements to ensure successful events.

The position requires 4–6 years in the music industry, a BA/BS in Marketing or PR, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and willingness to travel. Full‑time with comprehensive benefits and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related area.
• 4–6 years of related work experience.
• Experience in the music industry with ability to assess current music trends.
• Experience supervising, leading, or mentoring a team.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Understanding of ticketing systems.
• Computer savvy with MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing personality with ability to build relationships.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with ability to analyze complex documents.

Responsibilities

• Buy profitable talent by reaching out to agents and responding to inbound requests.
• Negotiate offer details with music agents and compile information to build offers.
• Network and maintain relationships with agents, artist management, and venue managers.
• Oversee marketing and ticketing, confirm show details, and ensure shows go on sale.
• Create show budgets and monitor spending to stay within budget.
• Travel to cover road shows, festivals, and seek new clients; settle shows as needed.
• Collaborate with managers on festival projects and identify third‑party sites.
