Job summary

Furnitureland South in Jamestown, NC is seeking a part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hourly recruiting across the organization. This role sources, screens, and coordinates candidates while delivering a positive candidate experience and upholding the company's culture.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, staffing, retail management, or related experience.
• Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume positions preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and recruiting technology platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Create and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.

• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Extend employment offers and assist with pre-employment processes as assigned.

Furnitureland South is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting efforts for hourly positions across the organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates while delivering a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at building relationships with candidates and hiring managers. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of on-site and remote work, based on business needs and recruiting activity.

Essential Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly positions across multiple departments.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate profiles.
• Create and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.
• Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, and networking activities.
• Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Extend employment offers and assist with pre-employment processes as assigned.

Talent Pipeline Development

• Develop and maintain talent pipelines for frequently hired positions.
• Build relationships with local workforce development organizations, technical schools, colleges, and community groups.
• Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting outreach activities when needed.
• Support initiatives that enhance the company's employment brand in the marketplace.

Recruiting Administration

• Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Track recruiting metrics including applicant flow, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies throughout the recruiting process.
• Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire communications as needed.
• Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Retail, hospitality, distribution, customer service, or high-volume recruiting experience.
• Experience conducting phone screens and behavioral-based interviews.
