• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two or more years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
• Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume positions preferred.
• Experience using an ATS, preferably Paycom.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly positions across multiple departments.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and candidate profiles.
• Post jobs, source candidates, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews.
• Maintain communication with candidates and extend offers as needed.
• Support onboarding coordination and keep recruiting records in the ATS.
• Participate in job fairs and recruiting outreach as needed.

Position SummaryFurnitureland South is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting efforts for hourly positions across the organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates while delivering a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at building relationships with candidates and hiring managers. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of on-site and remote work, based on business needs and recruiting activity.Essential ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent AcquisitionManage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly positions across multiple departments.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate profiles.Create and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, and networking activities.Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.Extend employment offers and assist with pre-employment processes as assigned.Ensure a positive candidate experience that reflects Furnitureland South's culture and values.Talent Pipeline DevelopmentDevelop and maintain talent pipelines for frequently hired positions.Build relationships with local workforce development organizations, technical schools, colleges, and community groups.Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting outreach activities when needed.Support initiatives that enhance the company's employment brand in the marketplace.Recruiting AdministrationMaintain accurate candidate and recruiting records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).Track recruiting metrics including applicant flow, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness.Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies throughout the recruiting process.Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire communications as needed.Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, retail management, or related experience.Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume positions preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and recruiting technology platforms.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.PreferredExperience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Paycom.Retail, hospitality, distribution, customer service, or high-volume recruiting experience.Experience conducting phone screens and behavioral-based interviews.Knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices.CompetenciesRelationship BuildingCustomer Service OrientationAttention to DetailCommunication SkillsInitiative and AccountabilityOrganization and PlanningAdaptabilityProfessionalismPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.Occasional walking throughout company facilities.Ability to attend recruiting events and job fairs as needed.Why Join Furnitureland South?At Furnitureland South, we are committed to attracting and retaining exceptional talent while creating a workplace culture where employees can thrive.
