Kinetic Potential (KP) is a mission driven for profit organization, based in the Washington, DC area, that has a tremendous opportunity to expand its occupational skills training and community service offerings throughout the United States. The firm is preparing for significant growth and seeking Talent Advisors to instruct, coach, mentor and develop individuals for careers in Cybersecurity with KP or one of our KP Network Partners.
Background & Program Description
KP believes that success in a cybersecurity role comes from being able to apply the technical training and learned skills to real-life projects and programs. Training alone is insufficient to truly prepare participants for employment, especially in cybersecurity roles. At KP, we take a different approach from other training programs. To adequately prepare participants to take on the role and responsibilities of a cybersecurity consultant, we offer a threepart program:
Our program is intended to not only prepare the participants for a career as a cybersecurity consultant, but to actually evaluate their potential for a part-time or full-time role as an employee with KP or one of our KP Network partners. Throughout their progress in the program, we will evaluate their aptitude, attitude and “fit” and the Talent Advisor will play a key role in this evaluation process
The Talent Advisor is a part‑time employee role that is engaged with each new cohort of students much like an adjunct professor. The Talent Advisor schedules will be established based upon the class with some flexibility for office hours and meeting times with students. We anticipate Talent Advisors spending approximately 40 -60 hours per student cohort. Depending on program demand, multiple cohorts may be active at any given time.
