Surge Staffing in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a motivated Staffing Specialist / Recruiter (Entry-Level) to join our dynamic team as a Talent Advisor. This full-time role combines sales, customer service, and recruiting to support clients and job seekers in a fast-paced staffing environment.

You will source and screen candidates, onboard new hires, and build strong relationships with clients and temporary staff while pursuing new business opportunities through networking.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: recruiting, staffing, HR, or business development experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to grow partnerships
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
• Resolve employee and client concerns promptly and professionally
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to revenue goals

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed
