Job summary

TAI is seeking a motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting across our engineering, technical, construction, and management teams. This role sources and engages qualified candidates, guiding applicants from initial contact through offer, and contributing to a positive candidate experience.

You will coordinate pre-employment screenings, onboarding documentation, and new hire orientations, while building talent pipelines and partnering with hiring managers to meet staffing goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required.
  • At least 1 year of recruiting, sourcing, or related experience is required.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or technical industries preferred.
  • Experience using an ATS is required.
  • Strong use of social media for recruiting and proactive candidate outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full recruitment lifecycle support for permanent and contract roles.
  • Build relationships with candidates and hiring managers to understand business needs.
  • Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, resume databases, referrals, and other channels.
  • Screen, interview, and perform reference checks on prospective employees.
  • Manage candidate engagement through the recruiting process and extend offers.
  • Coordinate pre-employment screenings and onboarding documentation.
  • Attend local events and job fairs to promote TAI as an employer.

About The Role

TAI is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting efforts across our engineering, technical, construction, and management teams. This role will source and engage qualified candidates, and guide applicants through the recruiting process from initial contact through offer. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also play an important role in supporting a positive new hire experience by assisting with pre-employment screenings, onboarding documentation, and new hire orientations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive recruiter who enjoys building talent pipelines, strengthening candidate relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of a dynamic consulting engineering firm.

Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day
  • Provide full recruitment lifecycle support to the Operations, Management, and other TAI business groups for permanent and contractual positions.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with candidates and hiring managers, understanding business needs and building strategic candidate pipelines to fulfill these needs.
  • Proactively source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, resume databases, networking, referrals, and other recruitment channels to build strong talent pipelines.
  • Screening, interviewing, performing reference checks on prospective employees.
  • Manage candidate engagement through entire recruiting process and close candidates with verbal offers and formal offer letters.
  • Support new hire onboarding by coordinating pre-employment screenings, ensuring completion of onboarding documents, conducting new hire orientations, etc.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by attending local networking events and job fairs to create brand awareness.
  • Brings a proactive, results-oriented mindset, strong follow-through, and a positive, adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably within Business, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 1 years of recruiting, sourcing, or related experience is required.
  • Previous recruiting experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, technical, or related industry preferred.
  • Previous experience utilizing an ATS required.
  • Effective use of social media platforms for recruiting, such as LinkedIn
  • Efficient with utilizing various search engines such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, AI, etc. for sourcing candidates and job postings.
  • Have a general knowledge of hiring practices and employment laws.
  • Maintains a proactive, results-driven mindset with strong follow-through and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Compensation And Benefits
  • Pay: $28-43/hr (depending on experience)
  • Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
