Base pay range

$45,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr

Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 base salary + Bonus Per Hire Sourced + Growth Path into Full-Cycle Recruiting

Pen Pioneer is a fast-growing, veteran-owned staffing and recruiting firm providing permanent placement, contract staffing, subscription recruiting, and executive search services across industries like construction, legal, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and logistics. As we continue to scale nationally, we are hiring a Sourcing Specialist to support our recruiting team by building strong candidate pipelines.

Position Summary:

The Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in building qualified candidate pipelines across multiple industries and job orders. This position focuses on identifying, sourcing, and engaging passive candidates through LinkedIn, resume databases, job boards, and outbound sourcing tools. The Sourcing Specialist will partner closely with Recruiters and Recruiting Managers to ensure a steady, high-quality candidate flow for active client openings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify qualified candidates using LinkedIn, resume databases, Boolean searches, and online sourcing tools.
  • Build targeted candidate lists daily for recruiter intake and screening.
  • Maintain talent pipelines for both high-volume and niche searches.
  • Conduct initial outreach to candidates to confirm interest, availability, and basic qualifications.
  • Collaborate closely with recruiters to align sourcing efforts with job order priorities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate data and sourcing notes in ATS/CRM systems.
  • Monitor sourcing productivity, track candidate response rates, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide weekly reports on sourcing activity, pipeline health, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of sourcing, recruiting, research, or talent acquisition experience.
  • Strong LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and resume database search skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and research accuracy.
  • Able to manage high-volume sourcing across multiple roles and industries.
  • Proficient in ATS/CRM systems (Bullhorn, CEIPAL, Greenhouse, or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • Veteran status or experience working with veteran-owned companies is a plus.
  • Bonus: Paid per successful hire sourced and placed
