Job summary

Friedman Vartolo LLP in New York is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our recruiting efforts for legal roles. You will partner with leadership and hiring teams to define needs, craft descriptions, source candidates through diverse channels, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

You will manage interview scheduling, collaborate with Partners and Managers, maintain accurate records in the HRIS, and use our ATS to move candidates smoothly through the process.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in legal recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in recruitment software and ATS.

Responsibilities

The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team at Friedman Vartolo LLP. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our recruiting efforts, helping us attract, hire, and retain top talent in the legal industry. You will work closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure we meet the staffing needs of our rapidly expanding firm, all while creating an exceptional candidate experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and refine firmwide recruiting plans that align with business goals and evolving staffing needs.
• Identify, engage, and source top candidates using diverse, niche channels such as professional organizations, social media, job fairs, and networking events.
• Partner with key stakeholders to assess staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and identify skill sets required for current and future roles.
• Assist in crafting tailored interview questions, schedule interviews, and coordinate with Partners, Directors, and Managers to ensure a smooth recruitment experience.
• Utilize our applicant tracking system to post jobs, screen resumes, track candidates, and ensure a streamlined hiring process.
• Communicate job offers, manage salary discussions, and coordinate new hire logistics, ensuring a seamless transition for incoming talent.
• with leadership to identify growth opportunities for existing employees and communicate career progression pathways.
• Maintain accurate records in our HRIS system, generate recruitment reports, and provide support for HR initiatives, audits, and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in legal recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other HR tools.
• Ability to approach recruitment with a strategic mindset, balancing company needs with a candidate-centric approach.
• Strong conflict resolution abilities and a solutions-oriented approach.
