In addition to sourcing, this role will be responsible for posting approved job requisitions, identifying and engaging passive talent, qualifying candidates, scheduling phone interviews, and maintaining ongoing communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. This position will work closely with hiring managers across the organization to understand hiring needs, align on role requirements, and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process. The overall goal of the Talent Acquisition function is to ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains top talent while building and sustaining a strong talent pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Proactively source passive and active talent using multiple recruiting tools, including the ATS database, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other platforms, to identify candidates with specific skills aligned to hiring manager and team needs.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strong talent pipelines by researching and engaging community services, colleges, and online resources; representing the organization by sharing information about opportunities, culture, and benefits; and maintaining ongoing relationships to attract top talent.
  • Utilize a variety of recruiting strategies such as resume databases, LinkedIn Recruiter, career fairs, networking events, and referral sources to support open job requisitions.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers by conducting intake meetings to understand role requirements, team needs, qualifications, and hiring timelines, with guidance from the Talent Acquisition Lead as needed.
  • Evaluate applicant qualifications by conducting phone screenings using a consistent set of criteria; verify work history, education, training, job skills, compensation expectations, and overall organizational fit.
  • Schedule on-site interviews for hiring managers, including coordinating and participating as needed.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Lead in promoting effective interviewing practices and consistency across hiring teams. Assist with creating, reviewing, and ongoing maintenance of job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by posting positions, tracking applicants, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance throughout the hiring process.
  • Attract candidates by placing job advertisements and leveraging job boards, professional networks, and industry-specific sourcing channels.
  • Support employer branding initiatives through participation in recruiting events, social media engagement, community involvement, and relationship development with veteran organizations, educational institutions, and other pipeline partners.
  • Maintain up-to-date recruiting knowledge by participating in professional development opportunities, reading industry publications, maintaining professional networks, and engaging in relevant professional organizations.
