Position Summary:
The TA Specialist will assess hiring needs, gather information, attract talent, and move candidate through the hiring process as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Ads
- Gather information about open positions and desired candidate attributes.
- Write unique job post or utilize approved templates designed to attract top talent in accordance to Liberty culture.
- Post content to job boards or social media sites including: LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Instagram, or specialty sites targeting a niche group.
Source
- Identify talent by means of head hunting on LinkedIn, Indeed, Zoominfo, Facebook, competitor sites, user sites, etc. This means sifting through user profiles, resume databases, or other information for potential matches.
- Connect with talent via emails, messages, and phone calls
- Set up phone and/or zoom interviews with prospective candidates
- Develop passive candidate network by connecting and following targeted talent on social media
- Work closely with BDU to design custom graphics for job postings to social media channels
- Network within Insurance industry and online network for referrals
Screen
- Screen candidates resumes to determine qualifications such as: skillset, longevity, industry background, etc.
- Conduct phone or zoom interviews to discuss applicant experiences, skill level, knowledge of position, goals, strengths/challenges, professionalism, follow up etiquette, personality- and gauge if the candidate will be a match to support Liberty’s mission and core values.
Submit
- Provide detailed notes, resume, interview forms, other documents (such as portfolio, cover letters, or work samples) of qualified applicants to hiring managers
- Set up all interviews for candidate with each person in that departments hiring process. This includes sending calendar invites to all parties containing relevant meeting details (location, links to website, LinkedIn profile links of attendee’s, contact info, etc.)
Track
- Monitor candidate progress through entire applicant cycle and encourage a timely and efficient experience for all.
- Keep in close communication with Hiring Managers and Leadership to report progress and feedback on the role.
- Engage in recalibration calls with leadership on updates or changes to positions.
- Request offer letter from HR Department and give insight into creating a competitive offer or counteroffer mitigation.
- Data entry into Pipedrive, Bamboo(For Darr Schackow), and Monday.com (recording positions, candidate notes, communicating where candidate is in each step of the process, recording offers accepted).
Consult
- Intake calls with Partners and Hiring Managers to gather more info about their positions
- Design personalized recruitment strategy for each position and implement plan of action
- Work with hiring managers to create job descriptions
- Establish rapport with hiring managers
- Manage expectations for specifications of the role their open role
- Inform them of our department’s process and capabilities
- Take on (or partner with) branch hiring efforts
- Educate leadership on current talent market trends and address any pain points
Ambassador of culture
- Act as ambassador of Liberty culture to candidates by providing detailed information to candidates about benefits, company culture, awards, diversity, personal experience, etc.
- Work with Hiring managers to communicate career path and opportunity their department can offer.
- Deliver top notch experience to all parties associated with the hiring process both internally and externally.
- When necessary, disengage with compassion & kindness, always asking for feedback on how we can improve our process.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
- Background in the insurance industry highly preferred.
- Very strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite products: Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage time wisely.
- 3-5 years of recruiting experience
- 3-5 years of experience using various recruiting tools such as LinkedIn
- Ability to travel quarterly is desired.
