Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3 years exempt experience, or Master’s Degree with 1 year exempt experience.
NNS Apprentice School graduate or NNPS graduate or equivalent.
Associate's Degree with 2 years exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt experience.
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience.
High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience.
High School/GED with 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience.
Prior experience recruiting skilled trades is preferred.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Recruit prospective employees for trades positions.
Conduct interviews and refer applicants to specific job openings.
Evaluate job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge, abilities, physical qualifications, and personal qualifications.
Prepare applicant ratings and make recommendations on starting salaries.
Provide applicants with information about the company.
Administer tests and interpret results as needed.
Check references.
Arrange transportation for selected applicants as needed.
Extend formal job offers.
Work with outside agencies and vendors.
Attend hiring events.
Partner with the business on tactical and strategic talent planning.
Match candidate skills with critical trade positions.
Serve as a central point of contact for applicants and hiring managers throughout the talent acquisition process.
Develop connections with candidates and stakeholders to achieve hiring goals and improve the candidate experience.

Requirements

NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, or equivalent qualifications as specified
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
